Hey members, I've been running into alot of problems with AnyDVD lately.I mostly use anydvd&clonedvd2 to do backup's,at first never had any problems, until about amonth ago it would read errors on alot of mydvd's while trying to backed them up.I've been using dvddecrypter or dvdfabdecrypter along with clonedvd2 and they've been working so far.My question, whats wrong with my AnyDVD ?if a free program could read and decrypt it,there has to be something wrong with my program.I have the latest version 6.o.1.1,I've even uninstalled and reinstalled re booted and 'same problem',has anybody experienced this? can anyone help? as always thanks in advance.

Could be your firmware, or possible scratched discs. Everyone on the board would probably tell you poor quality media. IMHO, I don't think it's the case EVERY time (although it HAS been proven to be the case like 60% of the time). Anyways, try searching around for stuff that works for you. I like AnyDVD+DVD Shrink, but whatever works for you is fine.

When you run DVDFab Decrypter do you turn off AnyDVD? The two programs conflict with each other. You might also want to try another program to help you called VobBlanker or PgcEdit. Both programs are free and can help you out of tricky spots.

And of course your media quality may be poor.

By read errors what do you mean? If you get CRC/IO errors it could be a bad disk. Have you tried the built in ripper in AnyDVD to rip to your HDD? Just right click on the redfox in the tray and choose DVD rip to HDD and then process with CloneDVD. Make sure the box to remove unreferenced or blank cells is checked, this will fix any bad/suspect cells in the file as it rips.

When i got the errors,it said recyclic redundancy;that's using clonedvd2 and running AnyDVD in the back. I'd cleaned the disk and retry and same message, then i enabled AnyDVD and used decrypter to rip to my HD and was able to finish with clonedvd2.I tried using AnyDVD ripper once,it frozed at about 99%,but iwas able to do it with decrypter;another time trying to backup madea's family reunion it couldn,t read it from the get go.Message said bad media, or dirty media,or region zone on drive is locked.I've done plenty of movies dont think its the regionzone issue. My burner is asony dru710a ,by5 i believe is the current firmware and just finished downloading anydvd6.0.2.1 same error messsage with madea,s movie.

I would also upgrade your AnyDVD. 6.0.1.1 is no longer the newest version. There's a beta for a higher version on Slysoft's website for I think 6.0.2.1 which includes added support over more Sony Across read error protection.

The license key isn't a number. Find where you downloaded the key and all you have to do is double click it. It will automatically authorize your program.

Be sure to make a copy of this key on a floppy disc or CD. It is the only one you will get. DON'T lose it.

jujo13,
That error code could also be the structure error problem that is in the DVD. Right click on the fox head in the taskbar and go to "Rip the DVD-Video to Harddisk". Now AnyDVD will utilize FixVTS and correct the structure. It does not correct the structure errors when you are using it as a driver driven ripper and this is why you have to rip it to HD then use CloneDVD.
