If the psone control is dual shock then youll have no probs, theres no difference, If it doesnt have the anolouge sticks then its not dual shock and wont work with a lot of ps2 games.

My PS1 controller only works with half of my games on my PS2 (also a V9).

unfortunately the PS1 dualshock controller is not a replacement for the PS2 Dual shock 2.

Even though some PS2 games will work using the PS1 dual shock controller, the controllers are different and therefore some of the games will react abnormally. (that happened to me when i was trying to play socom 2 with a PS1 controller, the character moved on its own)

the Ps2 controller uses pressure sensitivity on the buttons, and the PS1 controlers do not
