SM + disc ID utility help [on slim ps2]

Okay I've got swap magic 3.6, and I can run my backup games fine. But I don't know how to get the disc ID from the original game. I did get the utility and burned it to CD and it boots with swap magic, but the CD doesnt stop spinning. How am i supposed to swap the CD out with the DVD game so i can get the ID? Is the only way to use a memory card exploit? It says in the guide you can use a cd but what am i supposed to do just rip the cd out??

Try taking your sensor covers out so the disc stops spinning.
