My copy of MvC2 for PS2 got sum pretty bad scratches and the game freezes up right after the press start screen. Just wondering if it's possible to burn a copy of this game to CD and swap it after the real scratched version freezes? I downloaded a torrent of the game and it came zipped with an .mdf an .mds file. I searched and read up on some tutorials about burning these type of files and so far everything is pretty straight foward. I don't have a chip or swap magic so if thats what I'm missing, guess I'll have to pick it up. Thanx in advance for any help.

you wont be able to stop the disc spinning, which is what swap magic does and you wont be able to open your ps2 without it reseting without magic tools/slide card. So yeah get a chip or SM, you wont regret it.

Yea you will need some kind of way to boot that disk. There's no way of swapping discs. If you have a action reply or something you can try that
