Hi I'm new here. Recently bought a Fliptop for my V4 Fat PS2.

Like most ppl I removed the lid and accidently broke the ribbon.
Well I have a new one but am unsure how to even install it. I see that one end goes in the Eject/Reset panel and one goes under the Disc reading platform. But HOW in the world do you put the ribbon on??? Does it just stick or something???

Anyone show/tell me how to put this thing in? I've checked around the board and bunches of google pages but all I get is shops that sell the thing rather than actual how to put it on...

There is a plastic piece on the board under the disc drive, the ribbon slides into the slot in it. You'll notice that it takes a tiny bit of pressure to put it in, that is what holds it.

Should I unscrew the disk drive to put it in??? Or can I put it in from the side where I can still see it???

You can put it in the side where you can see it, just lift everything out of the lower case to access it. The blue tab side goes down.
