Like it says, id like to be able to put new games on my hd, such as gran turismo, and gta liberty city stories. I use hdadvance and those games dont load. I do not have swap magic, so the mc exploit wont work. Just wondering if there are any other tricks, inexpensive/available that is, to make these games work with hdadvance. I do not want to have to change the software to another kind of hd software if i can.
Any input will help.

no HDAdvance 2.0's compatibility sucks so if you don't want to buy anything you are out of luck

i would buy something, else but have my hd advance 2.0 as the main software. I am just a tad scared by the amount of things that some people on here need to buy to accomplish certain goals. if there would be one certain software/tool/hardware that would do the trick for most of everything id like to do, ie, play games with hdadvance that arent compatible with it, i would indeed buy it. i also heard that hdadvance has released 3.0, is the compatibilty any better?

Your best option is to get a modchip, but I understand if you don't want to go through that risk and pay that amount...

Yes HDAdvance has release 3.0, but instead of getting that I'd get a set of swap magic discs and the slide tool or fliptop, and then download HDLoader 0.8b (HDAdvance is basically a pressed version of HDLoader 0.7c, so you don't need a modchip/swap magic to use it) which you can download for free from http://www.sksapps.com/ . Advantage of getting swap magic is that HDLoader is still being developed, and it's free so with swap magic you can always download new version of it when it's released, with HDAdvance you'll have to buy a new copy everytime a new version comes out

would i loose the games already backed up to my hd if i switch to hdloader, with swap magic?

No they use the same format. As you can see I have HDAdvance on one console and HDLoader on another, and I can interchange between the two and it'll work fine :)
