Assuming you were talking to me, yes I had the 200 and 250 folders installed (with flash 0, not flash 1 intalled in each) it was a proper devhook install, so it had all the necessary files (aside from EBOOTS and PRXs of course). As I was saying I didn't use the PRXs to install all the files into the flash 1 folders of 200 and 250 respectively, but did do so with 260, therefore the only working boots I have at the moment are 150 and 260.

Oh, and what question are you refering to TRUBLE, I don't see any question you have asked on this thread?

So did you fix the ISO?

If not check my guide:

I 'fixed' the problem, but to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what I did.

Short of 'fixing' the ISO (which may not be necessary) I found out another possible source of error. The 2.60 firmware dump I aquired may not be decrypted, so I set about doing that. I did the 1.5 section easily enough (except that is came up with 149 errors when extracting the 'f0' file to the root directory), but when it came time to do the 2.6 section, things got a little complicated. I devhooked up to 2.6 then, since it says use ELOADER (I assume since normal exploits don't work once you've devhooked up to 2.6) I installed eloader again (I'm working from a fresh install to avoid other sources of error) and used the GTA Exploit (luckily I HAVE GTA SA UMD, which I picked up recently for $20 AUD) I had the 'f0' from the 1.5 step in the root, and I tried to load the decrypter to get the eboot.bin file, and if memory served me correctly (it was about 2am at the time) it 'crashed' in the middle of running the decrypter (by which I mean it did not freeze, it simply turned the PSP off). I turned it back on, and since I was getting frustrated, I tried loading the locoroco iso from devhook..... and walla, it worked.

Obviously I did not obtain the eboot.ini or whatever other files were 'necessary', but it works nonetheless. I'm tempted not to mess with it since I've got it working, but I'd REALLY like to know what I was doing 'wrong'.

Oh and the only other change of any significance I made that I can think of, is that I thing the preloaded address in devhook WASN'T 88E00000, so I changed it to that.

I just wanna know what evolve123 told Cerynii, to see if it's something I've already covered myself or if it's something obvious I missed which will fix the problem.

EDIT: Oh yeah, obviously since I got the locoroco working and have not touched it myself yet, the CSO is good. So it's a devhook INSTALL (not the program itself) problem.

Lol, I think that was what made it work and not the other stuff.
If you downloaded the pack from PSP-Hacks the firmware was already decrypted.

Yeah, I saw that somewhere in a tut and realised I'd never even LOOKED at that figure in the devhook config screen before. Problem is I remeber selecting it in the menu, but can't remember if it was already set to it or not. Anyway, I've picked up the 'stable' version, but will continue running with the one I've got until such a time as problems come up, if so will switch back to that. I can't remember where I got my current version, but it's the one with the USB Host included.

Cheers,

Michael

First of all, try the new DevHook 0.44.

Also, you can't launch any ISOs at 333MHz clock speed. What clock speed are you using now?

Well that thread was wrong. You do need a UMD inserted, otherwise it wont work.

Download DevHook 0.44 from here:
http://www.ps2nfo.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&file=viewarticle...
(You will have to register at PS2NFO to download it)

Guess what... I'm having the same problem now!

Using Devhook 0.44, and I do have 2.00 and the 2.50 folders on my mem stick. Getting nothing but a blank screen.

Any ideas?

Would anybody be able to help me with this?

Try to get the 2.7 firmware files and load it with devhook 0.44.

Tried it. Nothing but a black screen.

The PSP recognises the ISO though because it displays the Loco Roco preview when you scroll over the UMD. Won't play though.

I have devhook full install with just 2.71 firmware and it runs Loco Roco perfectly, perhaps your .ISO is bad

Can anyone tell me where I can get the 2.60 flash files for devhook? I think that's what I might be missing.

I have a PSP with v1.5 FW. I also have devhook v0.45 with the 2.71 FW. I have just downloaded LocoRoco for backup purposes #cough, but am waiting for my 2GB mem stick to come. I'm just wondering whether with what I've got I will be able run LocoRoco?
