The Verbs are back! Best Buy does do that, at least once a Month they have Verbatim DVD+/-R 16X, 50 packs on Sale! Fuji Dual Layers, not the best. Verbatim DVD+R DL are best, hands down. Those Verbatim Single Layer are "Top Notch Media" though.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

@BIGTOXY69,
That is pretty good except I hate rebates with a passion, and I don't use DVD-R. Only DVD+R.
@mord, I don't know who makes Office Depot DVD+R DL media, but I would stay away from it. The only decent DVD+R DL media I know of is Verbatim. Trust me on this, I am sure other Members that know will agree with me on that one. Some people like ordering Media online, but Me, I want to see it, touch it and know what I have before I pay. Rebates? No more ever for me. They tie up your $$$ for as long as 3-6 months sometimes.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I think I'm gonna stock up on the Verbs too. I went through my 200+ TYs so now I'm gonna go back to the Verbs. I usually alternate lol.

I agree with you on that! But a sale is a sale especially with free shipping ! I rather like being able to puy my hands on whatever I'm buying too whenever possible ! But I must say that newegg's been pretty good on shipping me what I ordered !As for the Rebates thing I agree with on that too! Just give me the rebate price ( Final Price after rebate)without rebates coupons or any other mystical mumbo jumbo ! But they don't often Do that Either ! And Given my Druthers on this sale I would have preferred DVD+R if it was the same price ! But it was'nt ! Anyhow bunnyrip - I understand what you mean Just figured enquiring minds might want to know !and all Happy Burning & Shop Well !!! Good luck !

Well, Office Depot DVD+R DLs' are coded as Ritek, and I must say they have been pretty good with me. I just kick myself for not getting myself more when those 25pk were on sale for $24.99 couple of weeks ago. No coasters and nothing wrong with playbacks.
However like with everyone else, I would jump on Verbatim Dual Layers all over if they go on sale ( Hey Best Buy, you are well overdue on putting them on discount! )

@kiss11
if RitekG05s are what you are specifically looking for LOCALLY, they can be found in either the Office Depot branded 8x DVD-R spindles OR the "made in taiwan" MIT Maxell 8x DVD-R spindles~ :)
naturally, the office depot RitekG05s are found at Office Depot and when Maxell media is on sale, it's USUALLY @ office depot as well~ so, if RitekG05 is YOUR choice in media, Office Depot during specific sales on their own branded media or Maxells is your one-stop shop to finding them~ mind you, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to find the 8x rated media, as the 16x are flooding the market, that is NOT to say 8x rated media is no longer available, they are just harder to find by comparison~ and it's even MORE difficult IF you are looking specifically for the MIJ 8x DVD-R or for ME personally, the 8x DVD+R in Sony or Fuji brand~ the hidden gems of local media, good luck :)

only the 8x rated DVD-R are the RitekG05s, you will NOT find any RitekG05s under ANY brand of 16x rated dvd-r/dvd+r :)
that MID coding of RitekG05 is SPECIFIC for 8x DVD-R format media, other rated speeds/format will reveal a DIFF. MID coding, diff. manufacturers, etc.

DamonDash- That's great but if you can get 50 Verbatims @ bestbuy for $14.99 then Sony 50pack down to 23.99 now + tax does'nt seem to be quite as much of a bargain Though Thanks for the information - Wallyworld is good if have the same Product ( Dvd Media ) that you wanted from BestBuy or whoever & they are closer then you bring in the add & they price match ! Also right or wrong ,good bad or indifferent Wallyworlds Media Selection is like the american TV broadcast standard ! NEVER THE SAME TWICE ! they also vary from store to store ! & Week to week or atleast Month to month ! Not knocking WAllyworld or you DamonDash Just pointing out That their regular (LOW price $23.99 isn't a bargain in most states! I find That if you are'nt doing the Major CE reatilers -BestBuy , Officedepot, Staples , CircuitCity ect... or Buying online ! That SAMSCLUB yes that SAMSCluB ! has better everyday prices then Walmart or some of the local retailer's non sale prices ! They are usually a little bit higher but not much ! & of course there's always Online- Meritline.com, supermediastore.com, Rima.com, & newegg.com when they have their sales on ! DamonDash - Thanks again for sharing & happy Shopping !

How well to those (16x I suppose) OD brand Ritek hold up against the Verb. MCC 003? (not that any MCC 003 are on sale....)
When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

DamonDash- I hear you on that one ! I order online - buy local , whichever suits my purppose and wallet best at the time I suppose ! But like you said - Ordering online Can be a bummer because of the wait! also Unless the on-line deal has free shipping it's often just as cheap or cheaper to buy media locally! even with taxes - DamonDash - Don't worry about what I say I'm just ( CHEAP !!!!!!) LOL! Good luck & Happy Shopping my friend!
