Burning and playing mp3's on DVD-r

Hi all,
I have an APEX DVD,CD,MP3 console that plays mp3's burnt to cdr great. My question is can you burn mp3's to DVD-r and play the same way? Any info is greatly appreciated.
** Note as of 6/2/03**
I was able to answer my own question and yes it works. I burn almost 1000 songs to DVD-r this weekend and put it in the Apex 1200 player and they played fine. This will be a great way to backup my CD library.

I dont think dvd stand alone players support dvd with mp3 files. Probably coming soon tho.
