Sorry, but can someone tell me in simple words how to step by step transfer torrents ( from bittorrent or other clients ) to DVDs by using of external DVD burner, such as a lightscribe, for example... HP... I am planing of buying the lightscribe DVD burner external, and need to know how mnay ducks I need to get on the road before I get the burner..
It is ALL very confusing. Nero, codes, this that...Please, step-by step guide would be a treasure!
I am not refusing to read the posts and forum postings, it is just much simplier if some good heart will post a summary of "how to" for the above request.
this can be a touchy thing with the torrent thing, theese fourms are about backing up movies that we own! so if you were to ask a question about backing up movie that you own i would use DVD Shrink with any dvd or dvd region + css free or clone dvd or a many of other programs that will work, hope that helps

It was nice of you to post a response to my question. But, forgive me to ask you, why would one try to back up your own movies? Isn't enough that you have your own copy of the movie/DVD?
Now, about torrents... As far as I understand, lots of "torrent" sites have statements that they are legal and very appropirate.

It?s definitely illegal to download copyright movies. If it?s not copyright then its ok.
To answer your question about torrents it would depend on the file type connected to the torrent. Some are .avi, some .vob most all are compressed in .rar format. Some are also .bin .cue or other image files.
So can?t give you guide until you include what type of file your working with?
torrent clients (recomend utorrent or Azureus) will not transfer a file to DVD. They will just get the file. Then you will use another program depending on what file type it is to burn it.
And sorry you will need to read allot it a long learning curve.

This ones easily answered, some of us have children who like to do nothing but mess up our original copies, some wish to keep their original copies hence we back them up, if you have downloaded the files in AVI format then heres a simple guide I put together
I second gwendolin...annnyything can happen to a brandnew DvD to render it useless. Simply dropping in while inserting it into your dvd player can scratch/damage. I back up every one of my DvD's as soon as I break the seal. If you have blank media in stock at your home... .60cents is a lot cheaper than another $19.99..IMO
