hi everyone big help on DVD-R or DVD+R, what am looking was a gold blank dvd, the color gold or white on the burning side, most i found was blue or green colors only, . could anyone help out thank alot

DVD+R/-R will all have a violet-purple color dye on the recording side because the dye is azo-cyanine (most common) or tuned cyanine. The color has to be this way because of the wavelength of the recording laser. CD-Rs had a choice of both reflector materials (gold, silver, silver alloy) as well as dyes. The phthalocyanine dyes could be hidden by alterations in the polycarbonate or the reflector tint so that they appeared to be just like CD-ROMs. The same cannot be said for DVD because of the 650 nanometer wavelength of the recording laser.

The closest you can come is DVD-RW/+RW which is a phase change material that looks not much different from CD-RW or Blu-ray/HD DVD phase change material. That color is a silver gray color.

Gold back DVD+r/-r only ones i have used r archival golds but they are real pricey im wanting to say 29.99 for a 10 pack if they wernt those throw em away they are nice coasters unless ur talking about the TY DVD-R Silver Laquer 8x one they are decent i use the for the pro look and the cheap buy happy burning
