Distorted playback on DVD Players

I have burnt a Home Movie to DVD which when
played back on my computer, using PowerDVD,
is to my complete satisfaction.
However when playing the DVD on my Pioneer DV355 or Sony DVPNS305 any vertical structure (poles etc.) go wav'y.
Any explanation for this would be appreciated.
