I need some help with the dvd I just copied. The dvd will not play in my laptop or my dvd player. Here is what I used and the process I followed.

I DVD Shrink to first backup the movie to my hard drive.
I then used folder2iso to convert this folder to an iso image.
Finally I used DVD Decrypter to burn the iso to the dvd.

Here is the problem, the dvd will not play. I have two folders on the dvd: audio_ts & video_ts. But my dvd will not play, can someone provide some assistance.

Hi there,

Playback issues --> http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/274131

Why didn't you make a .ISO from the start with DVDShrink ?

Them all burning software can burn your .iso :)

Hi! Why don't you try Dvd Fab Decrypter to decrypt and send it to your hard drive, then shrink it with DVD Shrink. Any chance you have Nero to write to your DVD? This is what I use and have never had a problem. Besides Dvd Fab Decyrpter still updates and DVD Decrypter dosen't. Make sure you use good media like Verbatim, Taiyo yuden or Fugi and Sony made in Japan. I just heard Best Buy had Vervatim 50 packs, for 14.98, great price for one of the best media's around. Supermediastore.com has good deals on the best media, sometimes with free shipping. Dvd Fab Decrypter is in my signature. Good Luck. Watch your burn speeds 1/2 the rated speed is the general rule.

Hi,
Use good media, and the burn speed shouldn't really matter, but I'd recommend not to burn at 16x, and instead go with 8x at max. Also, as stated by the people above, directly put to ISO if it is a DVD-5, otherwise just use File Mode in DVD Decrypter, load into DVD Shrink and shrink, and than burn using Nero or even DVD Decrypter if you choose to create an ISO file. For better DVD-9 to DVD-5 results, I would recommend DVD Rebuilder + CCE. Check on the site for guides.
