From what I gather, there is little chance of unlocking using the code. Got to go to the shop for unlocking.

Tried that with a non accepted SIM card and also without the SIM card. Nothing happens after pressing the final # key. Both times, pressing the final #, it stayed on the screen.
I found out that Nokia 6020b required a cable to unlock and that is what I am going to do. Unless, someone really found a way to unlock.

Enter your code in FULL

1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)

Thanks goes out for all you people for the help. I finally manage to unlock it. For those of you using the Nokia 6020b, after pressing the final # key, press the joystick to OK the code. I found it by mistake.

Hi there,
I didn't know you had to put in a sim card to unlock the phone.
Most sites said to remove the sim card and key in the code it will unlock automatically.
Can you please generate a code for this Fido Nokia 6020b

rm-31.
how many tries do you get to try and unlock a nokia phone?

Here is the code.
#pw+817401330556616+7#
I unlocked it by mistake. Most sites said to unlock without using the SIM card, after pressing the final #, it will unlock the phone. For 6020b, there is a OK on the screen and you have to press the joystick to enter the OK.
Since I am new to 6020b phone, I was not aware of that.
Tried that. If nothing happens after pressing the joystick to OK it, then put a SIM card in. I put in a SIM card to unlock it, after entering the full code and pressing joystick to OK the code.
I unlock it on my third tries. I could have done it earlier if I had known about to OK the code.

Hi,
It's a new phone. The IMEI is different.
Someone at work unlocked it not me.
I just bought a new one.
If can just find the unlocking software I won't need to bother you guys. I tried Nokia free unlocking program version 3.1 I think.
It gave me the wrong code.

i think it worked for me!!! it just doesnt recognize my service provider yet, i'll try to get that fixed tomorrow.
first it asked for a restriction code, i entered the first one they provide on the link, and then it said "code accepted", and then the phone turned off by itself. and then i turned it on again, asked for the restriction code, i entered the second code they give, and then it turned on! but it doesn't recognize my service provider yet. my old service provider in canada was fido, and here in turkey i turned on the fido on that same phone, and it automatically recognized a different service provider named avea in turkey, and right now, under the networks listend on the phone with my own turkish sim card, it recognizes avea.
... i think it worked, i'll go to my service provider tomorrow and see whether they can make my phone recognize it.
other than that, i have full access to my messages, my address book, and things like that.
so thank you very much!

ps: i had tried many other codes for my cell phone, didn't know i had only 5 tries.
...i think that website works, but i have to first make sure that my phone recognizes my current service provider.
