I used Any DVD with DVDFab Express to copy the DVD onto my hard drive. I opened the files with DVD Shrink to burn it, but I don't know what to select to burn it without having to back it up again. Someone, please help me. I usually use DVD Shrink unless it has an error, which is mostly for Disney movies.
Hi malee33
Since shrink doesn't have a burn engine I'm guessing your have Nero.
So you can use burning rom - dvd video option and burn the video_ts you saved or use Express- dvd video files option and add the video_ts and burn.
Thanks for your help, but I don't know how to burn using Express. Someone told me that it will automatically burn, but mine doesn't at all. That's why I resulted trying to use DVD Shrink.
It says DVDFab Express. It has two drop down boxes, and you can select what you would like copy and where to send it. I selected my D:/ drive, but it said there was an error.
I do have Nero, but I don't think it's the most updated version of it.
What error does DVDFab give you? Your burner is your D drive right?
Just using 1 drive to read & write or do you have 2?
Which version of Nero do you have 6 or 7? You can check you version # in smart start. In the bottom right hand corner you'll see an icon that has a flame in it. Click on that and your cersion # will be listed.
Thank you so much for that, and I followed all your steps, but the file is too big. Is there something I need to do in DVDShrink? I'm sorry to keep bothering you.
From what I can tell w/ dvdfab express (I use fab decrypter - just a ripper) looks like it should have compressed it enuf to fit to a single layer disc.
If the folder size is larger than 4.38 - then you should open the video_ts folder in Shrink to compress to fit on the disc (will autoburn w/ Nero).
Anothor easy method for you in the future may be just to run AnyDVD in the background w/ Shrink. That way would be almost one step for you - when shrink is done ripping the disc will ask for a blank to be inserted.
