Are you both sure that you d/l the untouched ISO, because it may have already have had the fix applied.

if it did have the fix applied, what should we do then? i have two ISOs by the way one is around 800mb and one is around 400mb both giving me the same problems with devhook

no, i'm not 100% sure
how can you see if its untouched?
I mean when I loaded up this game for the 1st time I dindt came past loading game.... with MPHgameloader so I thought it was an untouched version.
I have 412 MB version, and all the movies are changed to the intro scene. thats not what you do with the prx files isnt it? so it has to be a touched version.

wow,
but even when you make from that ISO a CSO file then it will be around 400mb maybe more
so it makes no diffrence then taking this touched or untouched version

I doubt very much that cisoing it will reduce it to 400mb, you would also have to use a ripkit on it!!!! And the point is that you will have the untouched ISO with the original prxs which boots with devhook.

I'm sure you will find one that will work with the latest devhook somewhere, there's loads of torrent sites out there.

There is only so far you can reduce an iso before its unplayable.
it was mentioned earlier in the thread, did you try get dax loader?

I've Got it working!! Right, what you need, and someone on here should be able to provide you links to these, is DAXZISO and RUNUMD and the 'x' file which if someone could tell me how to upload onto megaupload or rapidshare, i will.
So what i did was place the DAXZISO and the RUNUMD folders in the PSP--->GAME folder, then place the x folder in the root of the memory stick and finally any DAXTER ISO in the ISO folder, (i tried 3 and they all worked, compress them into DAX form)Then just run the game thro DAXZISO using the 'RUNUMD Loadexec' method, press x when the dos looking screen appears and away you go!
EDIT: In fact i wil upload all the folders (apart from the ISO obviously) onto an upload site if someone could let ne know how to.
And by the way, the Daxter that i compressed into DAX form came to around 270MB which is pretty cool!

don't know about the specific versions but i have uploaded them now and the link is:

It came with UMDEMUlLATOR aswels, so just place all the files in that package onto the root of you mem stick if it asks you to replace or whatever, do so, and then run DAX with 'RUNUMD Loadexec'

Ok I got the files,
but I got a whole differend problem with my DAX file, because when I load them with the UMD Emulator then my PSP freezes.
The only thing I can to then is restarting the PSP
PS. TwinBlade with what program did you compress the ISO into DAX?
EDIT:
I dont know but somehow when I use UMD Emulator, my PSP freezes
but when I used DAXZISO and then MPH gameloader it worked :)

no mate jus do what i told ya, don't use UMDEMULATOR jus use DAXZISO. Place ALL (everything in the compressed folder i uploaded) the files onto the root of your memory stick, Place your ISO into the ISO folder for now. Load up DAXZISO, you will see your ISO there, select it with x and it wil take you to a screen with a fair bit of writing on it, look at the second option down from the top it should say 'Emulation mode' scroll up to it so it is highlighted in red, now scrol LEFT or RIGHT until the option 'RUNUMD - Loadexec' is selected. Then scroll down until the option 'Allocate tables in RAM' is selected and then scroll Lleft or right and change this to 'off' then scroll to the last option on the screen (start) and push x, once that is done you will be taken to a MS-DOS looking screen with loadsa writing on it, just push x. In the top left hand corner you should see the word 'starting' appear, now just wait and the game will load up.
Don't think i can make it anynmore clear lol and the tool i use to compress my ISOs is CiSO Converter, search here, or google it and you will find it :)

Thanks TwinBlade I finally managed to get the game Daxter to work. I couldn't have done it without your posts in this forum. I spent many hours reading different forumshere and everywhere without any luck but your posts were by far the best. Thanks again.
