Ok i got every thing ready and here is what it did

inserted swapmagic cd version loded
opened tray inserted game thaw
closed tray
used tool inserted import
yes game worked!!!!!!!!...forze
ok ill just try it again and i dosent work any more :(

help please

What game is it? Do you have problems with DVD backups too or just CDs?

well, you need the swap magic DVD to load DVD backups... good thing the discs aren't that expensive

Nope now it wont work at all

this i weird it works then it stops then it works

and when it dose work it frezzes in the same spot the dvd is brand new!!
so is swap magic

do i need to burn it differently

It frezes after the intro movie and when i pick solo co op
and it frezzes there

What type of discs are you using? What Brand? What are you using to burn the discs? At what speed are you burning? What is the maximum speed of your media?

ok FUJIFILM DVD+R max speed 8x

um im not shure what speed i used but my freind called me and said to use the lowest settings because you can skip over some of the data
i think this is the problem

now my stinkin swap magic disk wont work it gets to the main screen and frezes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never have tried the Fujifilm discs but if your max speed is 8x then you shouldnt burn higher than 4x.

Could the problem be the laser?

stop your multiple replies, have you read the forum rules?

If I read correctly first he tried to boot a backup DVD with swap magic CD, which obviously won't work. But the later problem does seem to be a laser problem... try cleaning your laser lens and adjusting it: http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/ps2.ars/1
