I know that DVD Shrink does not burn....but everyone says it's with Nero ...and I have Nero...I've already put the movie on my hard drive. Now I want to burn the dvd. When I go to the movie on my hard drive it plays good.....so do i just open Nero and add all the files under my movie folder and then burn it? Am I missing a step or is it just that easy?

Thank you,
Danielle

What type of file is the movie? AVI, mpeg, video ts, image? You need to be more specific. What is the source of this movie?

Take a look at these guides, the one says Backup DVD with DVDShrink and Burn your files with Nero have great pictures and I bet you'll find more manuals on that page that you'll want to look at.

__edit__DVD-Video file in properties helps a little, but actually the folder name and/or the files that are in it. I mean you probably have the movie title, then you click on it and folders or files pop up. Give the names or the file type (is it a .com or .VOB or .AVI)

That Nero guide in the link should do great. What version Nero do you have? When you open up Nero, point at the Nero logo or the flame button to open the product center and it will have a number something like 6.6.018 if Nero 6 or 7.1.05 if Nero 7

@dani2005........
Open Shrink again, then click on "Edit" in the menu, at the top. Click on "Preferences...". In the window that opens, click on the "File I/O" tab. Make sure the box is checked beside "Enable burning with Nero". Then click on "Open Files", at the top. Choose the folder with the movie in it. After it goes through the quick analysing, click on "Backup", at the top (Make sure a blank disc is in the burner). Make sure your burner is selected in the box below "Select backup target". In the box below "Select folder for temporary files", choose another folder, for the encoded files to go in. Then click on "OK".
Shrink will do it's thing, and automatically start Nero, when it's time to burn, and burn the disc.

Sounds more confusing than it is. After you've done it a time or two. you'll be a pro at it.........
Good luck!

LOL..........
I'm such a slow typist, there's about 5-6 more posts, since I started these directions............ Oh well. :o)

DANI2005---Since you asked questions better than most and didnt act like the world owed you an answer, I did a little digging, and a helpful member named Gwendolin in the Nero forums always links the upgrades for the best possible verions of Nero 6. I brought them over here for you

http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

its not hard to upgrade if you need to.
