OK, then lets make sure you get an answer this time, right.
1. i will buy the PreModded PS2 (slightly used)v7 DMS4 Pro SE, costing $220, is that a good price? or am i being ripped off?
ANo, that is pretty standard. I suppose that is from Teammodders.com? Those guys are great. I bought my slightly used premodded Xbox there and they do all my work.
2. is it true once i get the console all i have to do is buy a IDE hard drive at around 160GB of space, costing around $75.00. and a Network Adapter(which i do not know what is, were to get from and how much it costs) but i am guesing they just plug into each other??
AYes, that is correct. The DMS4 Pro chip will run on the ToxicOS firmware. That will have everything you need to format the hard drive, install and delete games and so on. You can get a bigger hard drive if you like, but i think 160 would do fine for most people. Try Newegg.com and buy an OEM hard drive for cheap there. Make sure you check the "PS2 Hard DRive Compatibility List" online and make sure what your buying is compatible.
3. is it true that once i have all of that, i then use a program which would, copy a game form my ps2 into the hard drive to play when i like.
A Yes, the chips firmware has a section that you can install a game from the disc to your hard drive in one easy step, just choose install from the meu options and in 20-30 minutes it will be done. I have found so far that about 98% of the games i have put on mine have worked. Hot Shots Golf Fore! and SRS (from what my friend told me) has not worked.
4. is there also a way of getting a dvd image from my pc to my now new ps2 hardrive?
A Yes, but that is a whole new ball game. You will have to do some heavy research. They have programs that you put on the hard drive, and one on the PC. Then you hook them together with a Cat5 Crossover Cable (eithernet) and you can FTPO files back and forth between the two once you have the PC and PS2 set up correctly.
I have done this with Xbox but not yet with my PS2 as i would need a wireless gaming adapter instaed of the Cat5 because it is across the house from my PC
