I tried navigating my way through that website, I followed your steps and I couldn't find that unleashed software. Is there any other place I can look? Also how will I manage to get it into my E drive if my computer wasn't communicating with my consule before the consule crashed? Should I burn the software onto a disk, should I purchase the software on a disk and insert it into the xbox? Again the ethernet cord is connected to the computer. thanks

PS the console starts ups in clear color now,before I turn that 5th switch to the off position it was black and white.

Okay I dont know what software you are talking about, but the only buy-able software around for the xbox, are games.

since it seems like you havent not listened to a thing i have said i will repeat myself
1.click my name and go to my links section,download the X3 Bios and extract it then burn it to a CD or DVD....
2.Set The Switches like i told you and have the 5Th one off,there is also a flash protection on the chip itself which will need to be turned off..
3.set the switches so your flashing the 2nd 1mb bios bank
1.off
2.on
3.off
4.off
4.put the disc you burned in and reflash the bios....after that search torrents for AID 3.0 download it burn it to a DVD and install unleashx.

I Have A Serious Prob With My Xbox And The Linux Program I Used I Installed "krazyie Tool" As The Host For Linux It Got On There And Then Win I Restarted It My Xbox Ms Dash Was Gone It Gave Me Error Code 13 And I Tryed 2 Reinstall With The Game For Evo X And Unlea X And Both Said Failed I Can Play Games But It Wont Show The Dashboard So Heres The Thing They Keep Tellin Me I Need Avalaunch And I Dont Know Where To Get It Let Alone Use It I Also Tryed To Update With Halo 2 And Other Live Games But It Goes Black When I Press Update So I Dont Know What To Do.....

Even though I am still using dial up internet ridges, I am not as slow as my computer but I tried the 3 letter code(rar) and nothing happened. It must be the incorrect code, by any chance do you know the correct 3 digit code. If so I would appreciate your help.Thanks in advance.

I have a box that has an erroe code 05 or 5 which means i have a unlocked HD known as Xbox HD but yea I dont have enything on it should i get a Xbox modchip known as the X3 CE but yea will it be able to see a unlocked HD without a HD Key Code or a epprom. also it wont boot disk's as in Game Dvds and wont let me FTP at all.
It's a normal box that is softmoded with evox useing unleash dash no updates got the exploit from halo2modes.com. in the xbox modding section. yea Help me

This is probable the best way to explain the problem not like it is going to help but yea who ever typed this was great in xplaining it for thouse who dont realy know very much about the error code 5 Great explaination ever huh...
5 - kernel - HDD not locked (The retail xbox bioses require the hd to be locked)
When you upgrade your hard disk drive for one that is larger, you most of the times use a new hard drive that you bought in the shop. Now, when you put this hdd in your xbox and you try to boot up with your chip off. It gives you error 5. Why you ask? Well i will try to explain it simple.
The original (also called "Retail") hard drive is locked by MS. Why did they lock the harddrive?
Well if it wasn't it wouldve been more than easy (in the start of xbox hacking)
for hackers to change content on it. Thats why MS locks it. It is just a security measure.
This locking proces uses information thats on the motherboard. The "Lock" on a xbox hard drive contains information that is based on the harddrive itself and the motherboard it came with.
One thing that makes this clear: You can not change a retail harddrive with another one from an other not modded xbox. With every xbox there is only ONE i repeat ONE compatible harddisk drive. That is, if they are locked.
If you don't mod your xbox (tsop or modchips) you can not change harddrives. Not even from another xbox. However when your xbox IS modified you can change your harddisk for almost every other harddisk (thats UNLOCKED). This means that even when your xbox is modified, you can not just put another (retail) XBOX harddisk in your xbox. However some smart people made programs that can lock or unlock your xbox harddisk on the fly.
So when does the error occur? The only time this error should occur is when you boot up your xbox in original mode AND you have a harddisk in your xbox that is not yet locked. So now you ask what do i have to do to make your xbox work again?
Well the answer is pretty easy. Boot up your xbox with the chip on. Preferably with a slayer evo-x cd. Now you choose "Eeprom management." Than you choose: "Lock hdd." It takes one second. After its ready it should say something like "Done"
When it is "Done" just turn off your xbox. Disable your chip and try to boot in original mode. Now there should be no more error 5.

suprizingly it got your atention althought it is funny seeing what you typed on this forum thread about my parents and no im not a myspace freek. I'm sorry for confuzing you people about what i had type especaly when i dident know that enyone was going to even read it. but enyways arnt you people talking about a xbox mod or somthin because i read some ove the forum thread that you people had talked about and thought that if i asked to see if it would be better to get a x3 or a x 2.6 as in which one would be better to get especaly when i have a box that needs to be relock after being softmodded and unlocked by configmagic. Also i dont have enything about the xbox so dont ask enless it is going to help me fix the box. But yea which one is better or better to get for a person that just wants to relock the HD and get the epprom or the HD key to upgread to a bigger HD. So if you can help " ENY TIME "

Mairdom and everyone else, before I responded to his rude comment that I am sure everyone else read, I appolize, but I can't stand when someone makes a comment about porn in a forum where he/she doesn't know if their talking to a child or an adult. All my questions and replies are based on problems with this xbox. I don't like to be side tracked because of someone else's stupidity. I should have ignored his immature comment but on this forum I have been very humble in seeking knoowledge on how to repair this problem with my xbox. The problem with the consule has given me many headaches, but I hate being in a chat room and someone tries to hi-jack a conversation with a totaly inappropriate topic. Enough on that subject from here one my post on this forum will be only pertaining to the problem I am having with this game consule as it was before Mairdom made that provoking post.Thanks everyone, sorry once again!
