Are you trying to use a SCSI interface on your IDE drive?

I didn't know I was until I started getting the message that the burn failed due to FATAL Scsi error LOWER BYTES OF SCSI ERROR GIVE DRIVER ERROR CODE. I have no idea how to fix this and other groups will not even talk to me about it. I'm kinda lost here lol.

You need to find out what kind of Bus you have for your dvd writer.
Then what kind of IO on your computer.
Use XP to show your attached hardware, check in there to see if there are problems.

To check your DVD-Rom:

Open My Computer
Right Click on your Pioneer Drive
Check out its property under Hardware Tab

Look for any interrupt conflicts or driver issues here. From the error message, it sounds like some sort of data transfer problem...

To check out your hardware in XP I believe you can go to CONTROL PANEL,MAINTENANCE,then check your tabs.
