No audio when using Cyberlink PowerDirector 2.55

I have imported my media files that were created on my Panny DVD-RAM disc to my hard drive using CyberLink PowerDirector 2.55 and for reasons unknown to me I have no audio. The video transfer is flawless but the audio is non-existant. I'm thinking maybe I need the AC-3 plug-in but I don't know since it's been a week and CyberLink "tech support" still hasn't gotten back to me. Instead of continuing my wait with them I decided to come to you guys (which I should have done to start with) since I figure you all know more about it than they don anyway. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks
