i am new here, its a massive site.. i have not seen the answer to the question i have, i am well versed in backing up ps2 games been doing for over a year. the question i have is my ps2 slim i like my swap magic but hate the swap tool. can i glue the switches w/ super glue? which switches? so i can toss the slim tool & i am able to close the top cover. who has had success with this? just need a quick answer... thank you.
you can... have a search in this forum this has been asked quite a few times. to do that you'd need to open your console if you don't use any magic switch (or variations of it)
i understand i will have to open my ps2 slim, that is no sweat, my thing is what switches? and waht kind of glue should i use? i am having trouble locating previous posts on this.
Dont use glue, its the worst solution, i used tape on my slimline, works perfect.
Here is a picture of the switch at the back, just use electrical tape or insulation tape on it:
The image below shows how i used a piece of thin card, and tape to put down the front sensor, which allows me to stop the disk spinning without opening up the condose to remove tape, and it also lets me close the lid:
ask if you need more help.
If you use glue, it wont come off easily, and secondly people have had problems where the switch would accidently be knocked off, if this happens then you wont be able to fix it easily, since some off the parts will be in a awkward position.
