I was able to back up and burn Grandma's Boy, but when Iplay it on my DVD player it wont allow me to access the menu screens. I used a Playo DVD+R RDL disk. I've had great success with these disks in the past so I'm not sure if this is the problem. I'm using the lastest version of AnyDVD with DVDShrink. Can someone tell me why I have this issue? Thanx

try better DL media (Verbatim)

are you sure you didnt re-author the meuns out?

make sure you had AnyDVD setup right also NOT checking "Remove annoying adverts and trailers"

try using CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD instead this is your best combo

If u r using DL disks why don't you use Decrypter ISO read(Of course with AnyDVD running) and then IMGburn to Burn or Decrypter ISO write

also get better media, Verbatims DL

using dvd decrpter or imgburn with AnyDVD make sure you have it set it up this way

To use DVD Decrypter in conjunction with AnyDVD as stated per Olli ->OF SLYSOFT AND CloneDVD

Proceed to the DVD Decrypter Opening Page - Tools - Settings

I/O Tab - Click on "Elby CDIO-Elaborate Bytes"

General Tab - un-check "Check For Structure Protection"

@ aabbccdd,

thanks for that added info about decrypter and AnyDVD i didn't know that because i dont use AnyDVD, i just thought it would be easier to use decrypter in the ISO modes if using a DL disk, or CloneDVD,
my thought was why is CubanB using Shrink if no compression is needed?

edit-looks like pazzini was maybe going to say that info too

I do have DVD Decrypter, but I've had no problem in the past with DVD Shrink. But in the future I will use DVD Decrypter. And I will get some better DL media. Thanx for the tips.

I would use Imgburn to burn the ISO image as it is the better burner and handles the layer break more effeciently.

DVD Shrink and DL media is not a good combination. The layer break will depend on how good Nero will set it. Suggest you use PgcEdit to create an ISO from the DVD Shrink files. That should give you better chances.

WTF... You cant use any HTML tags in here...

@ CubanB,

i agree with what Pazzini said about burning ISO file while using a DL disk, USE IMGburn, for the same reason he said that it handles the layer break better then decrypter in my opinion

@300 bowler

He's using Shrink set in 9gb discs mode and getting it to write an ISO file which Decrypter can burn. I hope, because he surely doesn't need to recode it using a DL disc. I actually use Shrink in doing DL and burning with decrypter. I had issues using Decrypter to wite and burn the ISO files (Layer break).

@ garmoon,

so u r saying that u have no problems when burning A DL disk with decrypter if shrink makes the ISO first, but u have problems when u use decrypter to rip ISO and burn.

I use decrypter to rip to HDD then i use IMGburn to burn DL disks as like i said before i think the ImgBurn prog. handles the layer break better than decrypter

yes I use shrink and it creates ISO and then Decrypter writes that ISO file and sets the layer break. When I first used Decrypter alone I had a layer break that just was not acceptable. With shrink I had no problem. That was with a new LG burner 7mo ago. I haven't tried my 4mo old Benq1650 yet on that combo. I rarely use DLs.

I guess I'll have to try it with img burn also.

@ garmoon,

yeah i seldom use the DL disk too, they are just sooooo expensive!
i remember when they were 3pack for $30
even though the price has gone done they are still too expensive especialy when u can just use SL and buy them for like 30 cents
