If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It should still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---
IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only heve about two seconds.
Note: Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim, you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press enter.)
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.STOP tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

Hi Joe,
Sorry - I've been away.
No it hasn't worked.
I put in all the details as you said but it came up with "cannot undo restriction".
I then put in a Tesco Sim card and it said "phone restricted" so I pressed UNDO (like you said), entered the code 217355237576103 which you had given me and pressed ENTER and up cam "Code Error" so I stopped.
Any more suggestions??

For the first method I did the whole code... #pw+217355237576103+7#
When I put in the Tesco sim I only entered the numbers of the code 217355237576103 - not the #pw+ at the beginning or the +7# at the end.
The phone is new - I bought it in July 2006.

Read all the instructions again.
You need to enter ALL of the code.
The instructions tell you hou to get the letters and the +.
Are you trying to use it in the UK?

I did reply. The code in my last post is a new code in the event the first code gave error code.
After looking at your model I now believe it is a Tri-Band phone.
It should work in the UK.
Sorry.
Looking back:
You say that when you entered the code the first time with the SIM removed, the message was "cannot undo restriction".
Then you say that when you put in a Tesco SIM and entered the code, it said "code error".
Well that does not make sense to me.
You must enter the code with the SIM removed.
IF there is no responce,ie nothing happens after you enter the last #, then you put in a non accepted SIM.
I believe the phone was hardlocked from the beginning.
"Can not undo restriction" means it is hard locked. You must have entered some codes before mine.
There is no harm in trying again. You cannot re-lock the phone.
First code is: #pw+217355237576103+7#
Second code is: #pw+183024400103671+7#
