Hi!
I have been looking for a solution for my problem all over the net, you are my last hope!
I've a PAL ps2 and a NTSC xenosaga 2, I played the game with swap magic 3 plus, at the end of disc 1 you're asked to insert disc 2 but the game won't let you save, my question is:
Is there any way to play the disc 2 or swap magic don't let you swap between discs without saving?
Your help will be apreciated.
P.D: And sorry for my english :p, I'm not used to talk (or write)in english.

I guess you've tried the most obvious answer, to try swap the second disc in (and I'm guessing that won't work)?
Your best bet is to bring the game to another console with a modchip or get hold of an original and play past the changing disc part then go back to swap magic

Yep, I tried swaping to disc 2 but it won't load, the disc 1 won't stop spinning.
I think the only solution I have is to pick a savegame of the beggining of disc 2... but the game won't recognize de save file either :(

when you say it won't stop spinning, you mean you tried pulling out the tray when disc 1 is in there? What I had in mind is at the end of disc 1, press eject, then put swap magic in, THEN drag the tray out using your slide tool and swap in disc 2. I don't think that works but I'm not 100% sure as I've never tried that myself.

I have ps2 slim, and when I get to the insert DISC 2 screen I press eject, but the disc is still spinning, it won't stop.
I have already copied some savegame files to my memcard (using a CD), I copy the files to de memcard and they appear in the memcard, but when I put the game (xenosaga 2)and try to load the files they don't appear, but other games (soul calibur 3 and Suikoden V)recognize the savegame files. (sry if it's too confusing...)

That would be because your magic switch or whatever you are using is blocking the sensors, so the PS2 doesn't know that the lid has been opened... you'd need to remove one of them (I'd go with the one closest to the front right corner) to make it stop, then put it back in after you've loaded swap magic, then swap to your second disc

Some game saves only work if you use uLaunchELF to copy it (e.g. GT4), not sure if that's the case though. And I assume you have the NTSC save and not the PAL version?

I tried just a while ago and it won't work.

I have the ps2 PAL (I use swap magic for import games), the game and the game save are NTSC, I will try using the uLaunchELF if I can use it with a CD (I don't have usb).

You can use it with a CD... the reason I use USB is because I don't want to burn a CD everytime I want to copy a game save, and USB flash was the easiest way to do it :)

ups ok, tomorrow morning ( now the time is 22:15 in Barcelona) I will buy a CD (or can I use a Dvd?) and with the link in your sig I'll try.

just one more question, how can I put the uLaunchELF in a CD, I just have to copy the files?
Before I used the ps2 save builder and the cdgenPS2 converting the files to .npo, I don't really know what I have to do with the uLaunchELF :/
