Hi, I recently posted in this thread:

But I looked at all the threads and i thought it would be better to post in on here.
The initial problem was me trying to load any game (especially Tekken) using Devhook 0.43.
I then deleted all traces of DevHook from my PSP and then installed the 0.44 from the Installer.
My Devhook settings are:
I select my UMD
UMD Mount - ISO ANYUMD
UMD Version - 2.xx->2.00
Firmware - 2.71
CPU - 333/166
Boot Select - reboot XMB
After selecting start the memory stick loads for 5 - 10 secs and then I just get a black screen.
Thanks for any help in this matter.

Your settings are wrong, im assuming you have an iso or cso file of that game, if you have an iso file i would check that its right with umd gen, get it on psp-hacks.com, if you drag your iso file into that and you get a psp_game folder and a umd.bin then you have it and its ready, if not, you need to extract that and try it again in there. Alright now with devhook UMD SELECT>PICK YOUR ISO OR CSO, UMD MOUNT>ISO ANYUMD, UMD VERSION>2.xx->2.00, FIRMWARE>2.71(if you have the newest one), CPU>222Mhz, BOOT SELECT>reboot XMB, OTHER>Remote ctrl,then remote controller, thin go to return. Now go to start and you will boot up in 2.71 mode and your iso or cso game will load.

i downloaded UMDGen and when i open the Tekken.iso it gives me a message - This image contains Relinked files. Making further changes could result in an unstable ISO image.
I don't get this message with GTA or Tiger Woods

Thanks for the help so far vbaker4.
I've downloaded Devhook from the link you have given me and put in the settings you have given but i still get the same problem. I think it might be the images that are the problem. The only thing that makes me think it might not be, is that GTA and Tiger Woods work using other emulators.

OK,ive dumped my gta iso(from the umd) how do i exit though after its been dumped without turning off the psp?i still dont know how to use devhook (i have searched the forum) so help is appreciated

in the fastloader menu i pressed L R and home and im in the menu but everthing says 0kb i restarted and everything still says 0kb i can go into fastloader though,how do i get back to normal?

My Devhook v.44 is not working. It starts up and everything, but after I select the .ISO and Start it, my PSP just shuts off. Thats only with Devhook v.44, v.43 works just fine. I have also tried various ISO's, but they all do the same on v.44.
Can someone plz help?

do you have other devhook installed? or other game iso's in your memstick? try reformatting your memstick and installing your devhook again with 1 game..

hmm viks, well check your settings, those games should load fine, try out a umd with dev hook and tell me what happens, if it loads, the only different settings form iso is the umd mount and select, so then it would be the iso....yeah devhook .44 is more stable than any of its predicessors, i use it everyday and it boots up my socom umd so i can get online and boots my iso's/cso's just fine, also its better than the other ones cuz you have the flash and media player for the internet browser.

I deleted the Tekken image i had on the PSP and put a fresh one on and it worked :D ... once :/ After i had rebooted it when i went to load it again one of two things happened. Either the screen went blank and the memory stick was being accessed constantly (I rebooted after it was being accessed for 10 minutes and the screen was still blank) or the memory stick was accessed for 5 seconds then the screen stayed blank.
I tried to load a UMD in Devhook. I'm guessing the settings are :
UMD Select - --UMD Disc --
UMD Mount - UMD Disc
UMD version - 2.xx -> 2.00
Firmware - 2.71
CPU - 333/166
Boot Select - Reboot XMB
With these settings the screen just stays black again.

For those guys that have Devhook 0.44 working, here's the part I get lost and don't quite understand. Can you also tell me if it's a "must" step to follow:
"Get a decompressed 2.71 reboot.bin, or you can also extract it with Dark_Alex 's 2.7X PRX Decrypter. Using this tool requires your PSP to be upgraded to 2.6 and downgraded back to 1.5 during the process, so make sure to read carefully Downdater (aka downgrader) Final for 2.50/2.60 before attempting to upgrade your PSP. "

Having a problem with devhook booting the new miami vice game. It goes to a gray screen... Right after the white psp screen. Then just stays there. I can exit by hitting home and leaving game. Any sugestions?

If you have DHv44 whit out the update(v44.0100) you have to start your games at 222Mhz or your psp freezes whit 333Mhz.(in the 2.71 xmb you can change the speed whit Home + Select)
you can not swap between isos and umd disc when already in devhooks 2.71. only iso to iso
you do not need to upgrade or downgrade to get the reboot.bin.(if you go to ps2nfo.com you can get the full DHv44 whit mods(USB) or the reboot.bin
for miami vice game it works untouched for me
DEVHOOK v0.44(FW v2.71)
TARGET: (reboot XMB)
UMD-ISO: ms0:/ISO/game.iso
UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD
FLASH: ms0:/dh/271(MS HOOK)

If your doing what I did then it's your iso.(you can try the ripkit at ps2nfo if you what but the iso has to work like it is) I riped out the update folder and .cso(259mb)

heres the full download for devhook.44, (you can only emulate 2.71 not 2.5 or anything, why would you want to anyway you might as well want the newest firmware emulating on your 1.5) Just dont mind all the extra crap in the download, put the "dh" folder in the root of your ms, and put the psp game stuff in your game folder, thats it done, now for your iso/cso games your going to need to create a new folder in the root called "ISO" thats where your iso and cso files go. Its that simple to use, you can boot 2.0+ games on your 1.5, you can get browser and flash, but remeber this only has the firmware for 2.71 not for all the other ones, so when you get to the devhook menu be sure to pick 2.71 and nothing different or it wont work. My devhook settings are on this page, a little bit down from the top of the page.

If you have the GTA UMD you can use the 2.0 to 2.6 FW to use the eloader.
Thats what the other FW are good for.
