ok i used that too....devhook is nothing special. go to custom firmware. but anyways you'll have to google the newer devhook... there might be one.... cuz devhook is pretty simple for booster to make. But so far i've only heard 3.11 emulation. if you go to 3.40 oe-a.....you wouldnt have this problem :)

Devhook is all I have any experience with. Can you explain the idea of custom firmware. Do I install it in place of the 1.5 I am running and therefore run the risk of bricking or does it emulate the higher version like devhook? Thanks.

u run a SMALL chance of bricking and its like having a newer version......not emulation its like having 3.40 but u can play isos under the game section.

I know you can't type links into this forum but where would I find the custom firmware you are talking about that would let me run ISOs. Thanks, by the way.

Ok, so I've got 3.40 OE-A running but I can't get any of my ISO files to run from the game folder. What am I doing wrong?

That is a simple fix, to get isos to run u need a special folder named ISO in the root of your memstick and put the isos or csos there.
It would look like this
ms0:/ISO/game here.iso
also a homebrew folder would look like this
ms0:/PSP/GAME150/game game%

format your memory stick and thene paste the games In teh msO:/ISO folder.

Another question, now that 3.40 OE-A is running are there any files I can delete from my mem stick to make more room and to not have corrupt files in there and do I still need the update maker and firmware installer?

nope, no extra needed files. just format your memory stick. to hide corrupted icons turn off your psp completly and turn on again hodling the R-Trigga. A recovery menu will come up. go to Configurationand Enable the Hide Corrupt Data Icons.

plays games that require fw 1.00-3.52...and u cant have a custin battery icon....nothing special.

hey guys i just got devhook 0.51 on my v1.50 psp and everything works until I go to load the umd which thinks it is asphalt urban gt then it loads the white psp screen and just shuts down. Can some one please help me coz i spent $50 in china buying 112 .iso games on DVD and I really want them to work

i have a 3.4 is there anyway i can download something to restart my psp or turn it to a 1.5 or overwrite the firmware. i downloaded a 3.4 oe from psp vault but and i put the zipped file all to the game file when i check it is says veiron 3.4! does thaat mean it is a oe or now can someone help me all i want is a iso on it plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

devhook will not run on 3.50, you need to downgrade your FW to either 1.5 or custom FW...
however, devhook is extinct really as the custom firmwares have built in loaders. very easy to use.
research 3.40OE-A or (the newer CFW) 3.52 M33-4
IF you were asking about a devhook that EMULATES 3.50, there isn't one
the last devhook emulates 3.11 so is not much good nowadays anyway
1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

quick question. Which is the last version of regular $$ony firmware that allows the running of emulators? I'd like to run the Snes emulator by Fanjita but a bit confused. Here's a thread about it, just so everyone knows WTF i'm trying to say:

I was running 1.50 with devhook and i think i pulled out my memorystick while devhook was running. After that my psp wont run my backed up games but umds work fine. I upgraded to 3.40 le and the games will go to the psp screen and then it will go black. When i run the backed up version of grand theft auto vcs it says insert the umd (luckly i actually own it). What sis i do to my psp? I changed the settings and disabled no umd and all that and it still doesnt work. what should i do?

in the devhook menu....do not choose file emulation... click UMD select or press home in the XMB and a menu will pop up....u can chooise it there too.
