So do you just press home when emulating the 2.71 xmb and choose umd?
Also what is a good,safe and easy to use iso shrinker for me if I'm using devhook 2.71? And can you tell me how to find and use it?

And actually could you tell me what buttons to press to change it to umd when in the devhook menu, because it's in a chinese version and I can't understand what to press and how to use it? Thanks heaps!

Is there anyway to emulate one of the new CFW (M33 or 3.40 OE)? It's not that I'm scared to flash my PSP, it's just that I can only flash to 3.03 OE-A. If I try anything newer, I have to downgrade back to 1.50, and use a different CFW

which version of devhook shld i d/l ?
i downgrade my FW from 2.81 to 3.03, den upgrade to 1.50
so now its currently at 1.50

I got Worms Open warfare 2 from www.espalpsp.com, but I cant start it! I have used devhook 0.44 for many games with luck, but WOW2, and GRAW2 arent working. I Explain more:When I start devhook and mount worms or GRAW image, it launches devhook 2.71/3.01 hybrid mod released by Iguanahak and Ephyon. I cant start devhook when "game" is loaded I need restart to get back 1.5. In game menu and UMD section I can see Worms Open warfare 2 but when i press X it says: The system software of your PSP is version 2.71(really 1.5 without mod) To start you must update to version 3.30 or later. How do I start games with that? Normally it just starts games with 1.5 firmware...

I was installing 0.52 devhook fw 3.03 on my 1.5 psp and then something went wrong. I was installing with this guide at: http://www.psp-haxors.com/2006/12/28/its...-devhook-v-052/ but something wrong happened at step 9. Instead of the disclaimer popping up I get"Set up Firmware files from PSAR Dumper output, Firmware is no SIGCHECK canceled, press any button to return". I did that and tried to start devhook like 3 times and I keep getting " startup the devhook, savelauncher setting,loading devhook, devhook version 0.52, reboot system", and then I get a black screen and I have to reboot. I had 0.46 devhook with fw 2.71 but I overwrited it and in the devhook menu I pressed uninstall files rom flash 1 and flash0, so I don't know what it wrong!! PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!

to play the latest games you need to upgrade to a higher custom firmware like 3.40oe or 3.52m33

Have you used that? I didnt find guide to use anywhere. I ran installer to my PSP, how do I continue? I can see 3.52 M33UPDATE and KXploit Permanent Patcher in games memorystick... (I use 1.5 firmware..)

if the installer extracted all the files to your psp just Run the kxploitpatcher program then run the upgrader

Do you mean Xploit patcher? installer said, that needed run first for 1.5... are there anything I need know, I surely dont want brick my psp!:D

yes the xploit patcher run that first,then the upgrader make sure battery at 75% or more and make sure your psp is also connected to ac adaptor

ok you now need to format your memstick now to give you all the folders needed you don't need devhook no more welcome to custom firmware enjoy lol.(oh you may want to put 3.52m33 update 4 on now this will get rid of a few minor bugs and give you a built in umd ripper and the ability to watch umd isos from your memstick

once you've downloaded it extract it (password needed get it here http://www.pspx.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=50476)just place the folder in game 150 on memstick go to game in xmb and run it,it will take about 2 seconds

Where do I need password? I unpacked file, there was eboot.pbp file. But what does that update 4 excactly do? is there change of bricking installing it? :D

arg.....im trying to run 2.71 on devhook .44, i can get it to run 2.5 fine but i want it to run atleast 2.6 but its not working. i dont load any isos using devhook, just to emulate the firmware. so can you help me with the settings for it?

Use the new Devhook v52 or update to 3.71 m33 FW
