I just got my Swap Magic with slide card and after some trial and error, I finally got my backup copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 working. To my suprise, it was the japanese version of the game that includes network play. Just wondering what is needed to play this game online? Some characters require v points to unlock and I've heard the v points are gained through online play.

So I can't play it online at all? Does marvel vs. capcom 2 use a dnas?

Regardless of whether it uses dna$ or not, the majority of JAP games online are Pay-To-Play, and sometimes the server does an IP check to make sure you are a Japanese resident, any IP outside of a JAP territory won't be allowed to connect even if you've used the Machine ID Changer to change your internal console ID to JAP & patched the disc with the proper disc id - which you'd most likely have problems getting hold of anyway, since nobody posts those.

I thought I coverd all that in my post but I guess people have trouble understanding or they just don't wanna believe that they can't play online with jap games.
