@ overkil,

i wouldn't think that there is any specail protection on those types of dvd's

Do u have the latest firmware?
Could it be a regional thing? PAL or NTSC

You can watch them on your TV's DVD player but not on your computer?
Sounds like a cheaply pressed original like some adult porn (so I've heard).
Please give more information like what programs you use to do all this, type of computer, is it windows 98 or XP. so on. Help us help you...

What do you use to watch a movie, windows media player or something else?
Does your computer recognize a disc but not play it? I mean, when you look in windows explorer and see your optical drive does it show a disc name or is it empty?
What firmware (reading/burning instructions, if you need a better definition feel free to use the search function) is your Lite-on? You said you had DVD Decrypter so open it up, make sure the source is set to your Lite-on burner then goto TOOLS/DRIVE/CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATES. It will tell you your current setting and you should see what your latest revision is (BSOY , I checked for you). Download and install it if you need to.
Let us know if you get anywhere.

Well you've had a few people ask about firmware. Is that up to date?

overkil,
1.If you go into Device Manager do you have any yellow flags showing? If so what are they?

2.Are these the only disks that will not play in the Computer?

3.What program are you using to view them in the Computer?

overkil ,
If there are no errors w/ your computer then it has to be the DVD's. A DVD Player is much more forgiving than the computer's DVD-Rom. Try it in a friends computer and see if it will play. If it can play in another computer's DVD-Rom then your laser might be off alignment a little. If you are having no problems w/ other DVD's then use the friends computer to back them up as it would cost you more to align the laser for these 2 DVD's than what it is worth and then it might put the laser off for the regular DVD's.

Also the blank media that was used for the DVD's might be low grade and your computer does not recog. the DVD-Rom. That is a long shot since most of the commerical DVD's are set to DVD-Rom.
