Well, I have read it is possible to do this and have it work on a playstation. Can this work on a ps2? If so, what type of CD can I use? Any old CD-R/RW? How should I go about burning it, aside from speed wise, I know that. I don't know what type I should burn it as, image, dvd, data disk, ect.. I burned it as a CD-ROM, but it didn't work on this PS2. I don't know if it is because it is a newer system, my cd, the way I burned it, or if I need a mod. Is there a way to burn a PS1 game without using a mod and using a PS2? I use Nero 7. I burn at the slowest speed and verify the writing afterwards, if you wanted to know.

Oh and, can you use ones that you download off the internet? Iso files that is.

To play any backup on a PS2 (psx games or ps2 games) you need some sort of mod, whether it's a chip which boots both, or swap magic, which boots ps2 games, or using a PsOne boot disc - for those methods though, you need either a slide card or fliptop case so you can swap discs without pressing eject.
