I used AVI2Dvd in order to obtain a Dvd_Isoimage file which is about 3.5 Gig. I have used DVD Decrypt and also Imgburn to burn this Iso to a DVD+R disc.
Both programs complete with no errors and everything looks perfectly fine. I look at the actual disc and they have files burned on them. When
I proceed to play the disc in either a High End player, low end player, or even on my computer but they all come back with bad discs. My computer says that the discs have zero infomation and zero space left.
I have used DVD Shrink along with Nero 6.6 to back up many DVD's but really never tried convesion and burning an AVI file. I've read and followed the Guides you have listed.
What am I doing wrong? I'm seriously dazed and amazed at this stage. Any help?

just a little more info would allow me and others to try to figure out what you did and what went wrong! do you have any logs or something that we can look at and analyze for errors! that would be nice.

IHoe, I appreciate the fact that you have read my thread. I kept working at solving the problem only to find that I haven't been doing anything wrong. Nor was there a problem with the software that I am using. After further investigation I found that the AVI file I was trying to convert was corrupt at about 3/4 of the way through. Tried a different AVI file and all went well. I am trying to obtain a cleaner copy of the AVI and will process it again. Don't think I'll have a problem once I get a file that isn't corrupt. Thank's.

I do have a question you might answer. I have now got a non-corrupt AVI file that ASI2DVD makes into an iso. I then send it to DVD Decrypt which has started giving me the same errors that other people have gotten or else it will complete but my DVD players all just go on loading it forever. Any thoughts as to why?
I will endeavor to capture a log file and send it on soon.

hi not sure about the program your using to convert your AVI file , it might be giving you the problem .
i use winavi to convert all my AVI to dvd files and it normally does a good job .
im sure iff you try will find winavi and usefull program .
ps. once converted with winavi you can then use Nero to burn .

Thanks I will look into WinAvi program. I just successfully created a DVD that plays on my High end player (BOSE) but when its played on my Low end player ($100 Toshiba) it comes back with an error "Not NTSC". What the heck does that mean? I know about PAL and NTSC but not why this is happening.

that means there is a setting in the AVI2DVD program where u can select either NTSC or PAL, look for that and depending where u bought your dvd players from select the proper choice

The switch in AVI2DVD that you mentioned is set at NTSC already. That is what is confusing me.
