Hi

I have a few PS1 games i am trying to play on my PS2
but the PS1 games dont recognise the PS2 memory card?

Do i need a PS1 Memory card for the PS2?

Sounds stupid, why cant i use my PS2 memory card for PS1 games?

No you cant use a PS2 memory card for ps1 games & saves. They use different formatting etc..
You'll need a ps1 card to use for ps1 games.

after i posted, now i need to get both a PS2 and PS1
memory card :/
