Not sure if this is the right spot! ...
I dropped my PS2 and now neither the mem-card nor the DVD would load!
It would start with only the Setup screen, says "Loading" for ever, then error msgs such as: "Unable to write...read..." etc.
Any ideas? My kid is desperate, just bought Sly3, unable to play!
Thanks!

I suppose the only thing you can do is to buy a new PS2. It is obvious, i know, but i'm just pointing out that there are extremely limited options available for you.

you can get a refurb at eb for $90 so instead of going through the hastle of ebay I'd rather go for that.

actually the same thing happend to my ps2 so we called some info line they said the laser offset itself we were told it might fix itself over time or move back into place. i didnt think it would work, so i got board the other day and tride it and sure enough it works like new. so if you do end up getting a new one i would still keep the old one.
