Hi, can someone tell me why DVD Decrypter may be running slow? It is not my conection speed because before it ran faster and I had the same conection. Is there something I can do to make it faster?

Hello.

If ripping is taking a long time, there are several possible causes.

Your burner has reverted transfer modes from DMA (direct memory access) to PIO (program inout/output).

Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button.
Click the "+" beside IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
One at a time for each IDE channel (primary and secondary):
Right click on the IDE Channel and select Uninstall.

For good measure uninstall the drive:
Back in Device Manager, click the "+" beside DVD/CD-ROM Drives.
Right click on the name of the DVD burner (drive) and select Uninstall.

Restart the system.

Another possibility is structural copy protection on the disk. Are you using AnyDVD in the background or any other driver level decrypter/copy protection disabler?

Sometimes the mastering of a disk is poor causing the DVD reader to struggle through many read errors.
