I want to backup "The Pianist". After the program is done shinking and asks me to insert a blank DVD, it starts burning but like at 10% an error message pops up and wont let me backup my DVD. Im not a n00b in this so if someone can explain me what to do to solve this problem Ill be appreciated.

Just cut and paste the last failed Nero burn log in the thread, and don't forget to edit out your SN. Did you just use Shrink to rip this movie, as it has protection on it that Shrink cannot handle?

Thanks for the help.

What I did was that I used DVD Decrypter to decrypt the movie. This looked like it removed the protection it had. Then I used DVD Shrink to shrink it and then instead of burning it with DVD Shrink I used Nero Express and clicked on "DVD-Video Files".

If you still have the disk I would suggest you rerip with DVDFab Decrypter and then process again with Shrink. Or open you file with Shrink and check and see if there is any unreferenced material and substitute a still image for this file. Need to know what error message you are getting, in order to find out what the problem is. Shrink does not burn so you must have been either automatically burning with Nero or Decrypter before. In Nero Express did you add all your files to your compilation?

U can do what Arniebear said, or u can run the folder u ripped already and run it thru VobBlanker, then run it thru shrink,

VobBlanker http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm

heres a guide

Yes and it worked perfectly. I'm also burning "The Longest Yard" using the method I told above and the progress is going well.

Glad 2 hear that,

happy burning

edit- just letting u know that good ol DVD Decrypter will not work by itself for all of the newer movies, Sony/Columbia, Disney,

if u want 2 go the free route DVDFab decrypter is u best bet, like arinebear already said
