i use DVD Shrink 3.2 to encode all my dvds. but i cannot burn sony dvds. somebody please help.

Hi fastgtp99
Since Shrink is no longer updated it can not handle the newer copy protection that is on the Sony's and a few others.

So here are some options:
°Run AnyDVD in the background with Shrink - will hanlde anything out there. Not free but has a 21 free trial. http://slysoft.com

°Rip w/ DVDFab decrypter (free) then open those files in Shrink & process as usual. http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

°Use RipIt4Me (all free progs) - here's a link to the progs & a guide:

binkie7 covered it. my only other suggestion is to download and use VOB blanker (see below) after dvdfab decrypter and prior to shrink. might not need it, but you might, and it only takes about 5 minutes and will remedy various authoring problems created by sony et. al. to defeat backing up.
