Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!
Only try the codes once and once only!!!
Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked.
If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked.
If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking it to a professional unlocker.
Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the codes.

hello sorry to bother you, i've try that by putting in a vodaphone sim card, and then entering the code, just comes up with phone restricted! What do i have to do now?

Did you follow the instructions?
When you put in the vodafone sim press undo option
(should say enter restriction code) put in the code you used and press ok
Please note that you only have 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked, if this happens the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker.

Please try to answer.
With the Vodafone SIM in the phone, what do you see when you turn it on?
Note: Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim, you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press enter.)
Did you see "Phone restricted"
Did you see "Undo"?
Did you enter the code in the box?
Did you select "Enter"?
If you see a message "phone restricted" etc., what message did you get when you entered the code?
Sorry for the inquisition but we really want to help.

I did everything been told to do eg:
Put the vodaphone sim card in got this "Phone restricted"
then pressed "Undo"?
then entered the code in the box?
pressed "Enter"?
Then is came up saying phone restricted with a stop logo. nothing else happen.....

Andy,
I think it is hard locked. I think it was hard locked from the start.
Just to make sure, try the vodafone sime and see if it works.
If it does not work, you will need to take or send it to yoyr local professional OR stay on T-Mobile.

I've tries several codes to unlock my phone from t-mobile to 02 i didnt know nothing about the hardlock untill you mentioned it but my phones still fine not hardlocked at all everythings fine wondering if you could sort us out a couple of codes?

Hi, I'm having muchos problems trying to unlock my 6230i, I'm with T-Mobile UK as well and trying to get it to work with Orange, used 3 attempts so decided to stop and get help.

That means your mobile is hardlocked, only a professional can unlock it now. Some mobiles only need 3 attempts befroe it becomes hardlocked and it looks like yours is one of them.

Right thats what I thought, it's okay as theres a shop just round the corner who can unlock it, I'd just rather have been able to do it myself, oh well...
