Ok having a bit of trouble here, got what appear to be images, I have 5 files, 4 with .000 to .003, and a .dvd file. No idea how to burn/extract these. As you might guess, searching for 'burn .dvd file' in google dosen't come up with anything vaguely useful. The .000 etc files look like those rar files you get loads of on some downloads, since 3 of them are exactly the same size (about a gb each) and the last one is slightly smaller, but WinRAR can't open them. does anyone know what the hell these things are and how I either burn or extract em? thanks.
Quote:Yeah how did you get them? It's kinda weird WinRAR won't open them.
winrar wont open them..because they are not rar archives
like binkie says, they normally are made when using a fat32 system
dvd decrypters default setting when reading iso's etc is set to auto, and when using fat 32 it automaticaly splits large files into segments,I00,I01,I02,etc.
these should come with a MDS file also.
(the MDS file contains the information needed that will put the variuos segments back together)
when using NTFS,you will never see these sorts of files, unless of course you change the file splitting settings in DVD Decrypter.
if you downloaded them, then its down to who/how the image was made.
Downloaded from a german site, so not too sure, I'm still banking on it being a multi-language release! It didn't include a .mds file though, if this is an issue is there any way I can create one?
Thanks anyway though, I shall try those applications first.
nah tried that first thing, don't worry it worked fine with imgburn, just opened the finished DVD now. That's a well nifty little program, so thanks for pointing it out to me!
Oh also while browsing settings there was the option to create MDS file in one of the menus - this might possibly be there to fix the problem although in my case I never needed to test it (was thinking it's much like creating a .cue file for a .bin image).
