Yea ur right they would just call the game whatever city it is in...
So far all the GTA has been under a certain gangster theme. GTA3 being under the Italian mob (Godfather) theme. GTA Vice city was under the cuban gangster (scarface) theme. GTA Sanandreas being in a westcoast bloodz and cripts gangster rap (compton) theme. So my guess is that the next one should be Yakuza. Maybe the next main character will be asian. So the storyline would take place in Japan. Since PS3 has bluray...The whole entire island of Japan would be mapped.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Have we mentioned multiplayer at all?
I think it's time for the world's most popular game to get online.This would rock espesially seens how you can swipe cars and run over your opponents etc.

Nah I think a while ago they mentioned that the new GTA will be the end of the GTA3 story and mark the beginning of a new one. As you may notice, things in Vice City, LCS, San Andreas and VCS are just putting things in place for the events that occoured in GTA3.
The again...
GTA4 could mark then end of the prequel phase and continue with the story after you killed Catalina in 2001 (GTA3)

Not really.They were based in different places(with the exception of lcs and gta3) with totally different story lines that had little or nothing to do with each other.I'd love a link to them saying that;)
The psp and gba titles were just to piece together some things and make some money off of previous titles.Which is good,If you have the best selling game ever then you should capitalize off of it.

True: They were based in different places
False: Their stories have nothing to do with each other
In Vice City, it was explained how Donald Love got his business sense (Avery Carrington) and put you in the shoes of a Forrelli Family soldier (Tommy). [Forrellis - the crime family you were aginst in GTA3]
In San Andreas, it was explained how the main character of GTA3 ended up in Liberty City and it gave further insight as to why Catalina was prone to betraying her co-workers. It also showed how Salvatore ended up with Maria, what Kent Paul, Rosenberg and the two boatyard goons did after the events of Vice City.
Its all one big story if you look at it, just told in a different manner of having different main characters, but showing how the actions of each different charater influence the events that take place later down or earlier on in the story.

That's true and that's one way of looking at it, however they only did it to tie it in some way to please fans of the previous versions.99.9% of the time it didn't say anything or have anything to do with the others.A very few cutscenes and very few missions is a drop in the bucket.
Most follow up games and sequels have much more to do with the previous versions then the gta series.The point is gta 4 will also have some little things about the previous versions to tie it in but once again it will be totally different(my opinion, as it isn't out yet lol)

Well maybe GTA 4 will be set in the year 3000 though very doubtful, they could make a great game but it wouldn't really be the same.

gta 3---was based in 2000 (the year it came out)
gta vc---was bassed in 1980 (came out 2002)
gta sa---was bassed in 1992 (came out 2004)
What do I think? I think that gta 4 will be in the year 2007, Why? Because gta (3) came out, and was based in the year 2000. And gta (4) is a number like gta(3).

it will be rather simular, and i dont DONT think its going to be London England. WHY? "TheGeteway" the new Geteway game will also be based in london as it was in the others. And R* is not one of those companies that douse what the others do "AKA" posers (not R*).

Yeah we alreayd said stuff on what level's we think it's going to be in. Also it has already been said but the getaway did london. But I think gta1 or 2 did London and there were rumors that they were going to make a remake of it, like a way better version.

The last GTA was San Andreas wich was in america, and it was 3 islands/states a country in Europe is the size of a state. So I think that it going to be a cuple of islands representing---> England,france,spain,bulgaria,greece or whatever. Because England can get a little dull after a bit.

In terms of location, i strongly doubt London. Europe...maybe but i firmly believe that it my be in Bogota since the last 2 GTA games gave hints of the next one's location via radio ads and commentary. There was also a mention of another location the new VCS website www.rockstargames.com/vicecitystories under the Paradise FM broadcast.

I still think Its going to be in Europe. That is because Rockstar north (makers of gta) are in Scotland, Enburgh (basicly England). And the guy is probably going to be white. But i personaly think that they will let you chose/make a guy/girl and race (Godfather,Saintsrow)
Or they might base it on the world. Each continent can be an island in gta. And they might even conect some of the older worlds of gta3,vc,sa with gta4.

hey you guys think thaat Carser city might be in it? Carser city is the city where the cutseen in GTA 3 takes place in the beginning, but you cant really go back to it in the game. Well actually in the game if you ride the Dodo around one of the islands youll actually phase right through a mountain where youll see building just beging to pop out of nowhere (you cant land though as youll be teleported somewhere else).
yeah I think it could be Carser City.

Nah I dont think so. If it was in gta 3 they would have made it already and not after gta vice city and san andreas.

Comint o think of it, carser city was never really re-visited during the GTA series, I think that the next release could be it's time to shine. Not a very strong contender though.

One of the reasons it probably wont be in Carser is because one of Rockstars other games, think it was Manhunt, is set there. That and the fact that GTA4 is meant to be completely separate from the current series.
