I have the guide for GTA 4 and it says for Kate McReary dislike modo (mid style)
She like Russian (low style) and as for vechiles she likes Rebla, Patriot,Comet,Habanero and Super GT. She dislikes Peyote,Voodoo,Sultan RS,Moonbeam,Solair and Stretch

funny, when I wore the modo stuff she said she liked it. I did however use a patriot and she definitely likes those.

hey guys, once you get your friends to 100% do they stay there forever or do you need to keep hanging out with them to keep it there?

Try to preface spoilers with a spoiler warning please. Some people are here for technical help--even though everything I read in the last two pages didn't spoil anything for me.
*SPOILERS*
I whacked Dwayne and felt bad about it. Reading all this stuff about whacking Playboy will mean that I'll definitely be playing through this game a second time.
I also whacked Derrick. I stayed with Francis. If you stay with Francis, he gives you political protection just like Kiki.
Finally, I think Kate will only give it up at the end of the game, since they're playing it as if she's the real love interest for Niko. We'll see.
END *SPOILERS*
I'm about 53% into the game.
As for friends, you have to keep hanging out with them to keep it at 100%.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

You will receive a message like a text giving you a thumbs down for that person if you dont hang out with them after a while, and if you pull something crazy or illegal when they are with you. I forgot what I did but I was with Roman and jsut received the pop up right above the GPS of a thumbs down signal. I read somewhere that establishing your freindship is not needed to complete game, but what do you get if you get to %100 and whos worth hanging out with to get %100?

I think you just need 100% respect to get the 100% complete. I don't think like matters.

I have a problem, im on the mission where you have to choose between Dwayne or Playboy. I first went to kill playboy but died trying. So i said forget it I'll kill Dwayne which was too easy. I didnt plan on saving after dwayne was dead but after i killed him it autosaved. Now Playboy wants nothing to do with me and dwayne is dead. So i tried to reload the loaded file from the safe house but dwyane is dead on that one too. I heard he is a big help more into the game. I want him back i was gunna let him live. So my problem is, is there a way to get back the file where both playboy and dwayne is alive??

Well, if there is only one save file, and you already saved over that, then no--or at least I don't think there is a way to resurrect a save file. Like I said pages earlier, I always have more than one save file for that reason (that and my brother is also playing his own campaign now so we each have two save files just in case one of them is accidentally saved over).

I spent an hour or so doing vigilante missions only to find out they dont count towards your total %, you dont get any money, and you dont get any bonuses or perks of any kind. That really sucks.

*SPOILERS*
well, i finally beat the game. the credits are rolling right now but i thought i'd tell people my guesstimated stats. i finished the campaign around 65% completion of the whole game with a little over 30-35 hours playing time. I titled this a spoiler b/c I didnt know if people knew that the story doesnt actually end at 100%.
EDIT:
after reading the post about whacking derrick b/c francis give you political advise and gets your wanted level erased all you have to do is date lawchick. she will clear your wanted level as well. so theres no ral advantage to kill derrick.
also the whole dwayne backup thing doesnt work well. i tried calling him for backup for the last mission and he wouldnt answer his phone. go figure.

as far as i know all ur friend do something for u in the game. dwayne gives u backup. roman gives u taxis
and little jacob gives u a van full of guns and ammo. i cant remember what the rest do your friendship has to be over 70%

once you become friends with dwayne you get the perk and under the phone he has a listing that says "call backup." i'm guessing it didnt work because it was the last mission of the game, I didnt try it on any other missions.
the lawchick perk def. works though. I tired it once or twice and she "called the judge" for me.

I need help.
Every time i try to play gta iv online in a party (with people) or just a quick match, i will join for a few seconds then get disconnected. "You have lost connection to one or more players. Returning to single player"
I am using NAT type 2 and have uPnP avaliable.
Edit: Ok ive changed nat type to 3 and made uPnP un-avaliable and still the same problem.
Any suggestions please :)

my suggestion is dont play it online. i have had problems with it as well. it appears that either rockstar sucks at online gameplay or everybody is still on te campaign. Oh well, i dont care. Three words: HAZE ON TUESDAY!!!

Oh... i thought i was alone with this problem :P Wierd at my friends house his works completely great, no disconnection ussues. I may look at his network settings and see whats different. I have yet to experience online play on it.
