I am fairly new to shrink..... I used shrink to compress dvd's (back up) and Nero to back them up on dvd. I found that I can not shrink SONY dvd's. Is there help?, I tried DVD Decrypter, and it gets errors and can not continue.... is it possible to copy a Sony dvd and copy to blank dvd using DVD Shrink???? Help if you can.

Sony DVD's have new type of protection that DVD Decrypter cannot crack due to lack of updates. However there are two excellent guides that you can use to crack this new type of protection here:

Alkohol's guide

Arniebear's guide

DVD Shrink and decrypter will not remove the copyright protection from newer DVD's. You can download the latest version of DVDFABDECRYPTER from here: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm. Use this first then open the files with DVDshrink and burn away. Works like a charm everytime.

Dvd fab decrypter copies two files (audio and video) to a folder of your choice, can you tell me how to burn a dvd like that? burning programs only let you copy from one file.... although I am new and probably miss some things that are common to most. Thank you for your reply.

Don't worry about the audio folder, just open the video folder with dvdshrink. I'm sure you have used shrink, so you can take it from there.
