Hi there

The thing is, when i play ps2 online i have to connect it directly to my cable modem and to do so i have to unplug the internet from the computer, i'm tired of this, so i was wondering if there is any way to connect my ps2 to my computer and play online on the ps2 at the same time i surf the net on the computer, that would be useful for Pes5 to introduce the results for the online tournaments

I appreciate every answer, and sorry bout my english if its bad

you can use ICS but you'll have to know how to set this up (you'll also need 2 network cards in your PC) or the easiest way of doing it is to get a router.

Just buy a router or wireless router and wireless gaming adapter.
Then you can use both at the same time as long as you have the PC connection set up correctly with network sharing.
But unless your PC has a real good graphics card, processor, broadband internet, and some extra memory it may not work real well
as you may get some lag because you are running the 2 things at the same time.

I don't see how graphics card, processor would have anything to do with this. What I gather from his post is that he wants to go on a website while he has pes5 connected online on the ps2 to update scores of tournament games which are organized by the site.

you got it. You do need a crossover cable if you're going to use ICS with 2 network cards (and yes it does mean Winning eleven star :) I was really into it when I was signing up to this board and it was the only thing that came to mind)

Its so easy to do via a network card in your pc, basically, connect with cable from pc to ps2, set up ICs and your away.

ok, but even then you wouldn't have to have an awsome graphics card and cpu just to surf the net.

Stick with your direct connection. You'll have so many problems with a router, having to open ports & configure MDZ etc.., particularly on EA games. Its less hassle doing what you already do, and you'll not be 'watering down' your connection by introducing a 'filter' in the middle.

I mean, its not as if you can play the ps2 & use your pc at the same time is it? Unless you're some sort of alien with 2 heads, and 4 arms!
