Youtube .flv files don't play

I've retrieved the .flv files from Internet Explorer's temporary folder & try to play them with Flv Player, but they don't work! Any suggestions? Are the files specially encoded, or should I be using a different player?

Try Media Player Classic. Recent builds have a built in flv splitter and VP62 decoder. Just need FFDShow to decode older flv's that use Sorenson Spark.
