Hi guys, I've ripped Zathura, Pink Panther and The Producers with DVDFab, but when I try to shrink the files to an ISO file with DVD Shrink, I get a message saying

'Invalid data in file C:\pink\DVD\Video_TS\VTS_21_0.VOB
Overlapped I/O operation in progress'

This does change slightly from film to film, but only the name in the pathway and the number in the VTS section. I dont really know much about ripping, so sorry if it is something easy or already covered - even if someone could point me towards the right thread, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Help should always be appreciated, not expected!

Ok tried it, it worked ok, but it found some errors but didn't mark them as 'skip', so I didn't know what to blank. Also at the end of the process it said 0 errors, 91 warnings, but on the guide it says zero for both. Any ideas?

Hi.

I'm not sure what's going on.

Try using a simpler sanitizer like FixVTS and see if that cleans stuff up better:

http://www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS/

Better yet, just use this approach which automates the whole process for the most part and uses all free programs:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/360110

When everything is installed, click 1-Click and you should be good to go unless the source disk has a defect or something.

In shrink go to Edit>Preferences and under the I/O tab make sure you un-check:

That is what causes that overlapped IO error in shrink for some ppl.

Tried my DVDFab rip of Pink Panther ? when I input the Video_TS file, I get this error message and normal error sound:

VTS02: Detected 25 cells with pointers mismatch between VTS_C_ADT and PGC_PBK tables Using VTSM_C_ADT initial and ending pointers?

This is quite usual in ILV/Multiangle VTSs, but VobBlanker does not support them, except in skip mode.

Note: This is NOT an InterLeaVed VTS

I click OK then get:

<RED X> Detected ini/end cell pointers out of range in TITLES domain
Affected titlesets are VTS_21_0.IFO

A Fullscan is required: See Menu->File->Fullscan

I click OK and the same message and error sound appear again.

I ran the fullscan option, and at the end I got an info window which says:

Some Cells not found in Menus

This, like the last one, appears twice then another comes up saying:

At least one critical error Scanning Titles

None of the files appear in the action box as skip, all as process. There?s also no files with zero size.

I clicked pro.all and then PROCESS!. The result was 87 warnings ? is it worth spending the time shrinking it or will it be poor quality/not work? I?ve saved the log file if that helps anyone.

Sorry to be a pain!

Maxburn yes un-checking the box did stop that I/O message but it still brings up an error box straight away saying error in VTS_21. It seems to be the last file number for these films which has the error in, I think this means its Copy Protection. But not sure!
