hi,
i have 2 ps2's one is the big one and one is the slimlineone, i would like toknow how much i should sell my slimline ps2 it has a magic 3.1 modchip in it.any suggestions?

no like selling it on ebay or something, i thnk gamestop doesnt take ps2's that are modded because they are illegal.

According to eBay it's illegal to sell a modded console on their site, people do it but if you mention that it is modded or anything of the sort in the auction itself then eBay will shut it down.
I would say your best bet would be to either talk to people in person and maybe you could find a friend that wants it or try selling it in forums.

I don't know if afterdawn is the right place but I do know that people sell them at modchip site forums (even if it isn't the sam chip just obviously let them know what thype).
One good place that I know does this is the dms4.com forums, here's the link:

you will have to find a forum site of modding site that has a buy/sell/trade (b/s/t) section. They have them out there.
Or sell it on your own somehow without letting on about the chip. As advertising that in the paper may not be the best of ideas.
But even then most people on the forums already have one, but i have seen where people will buy them just because they like to work on them or for spare parts.
I would say that a price of $150 or below would be fair. Since it is a cheap chip with no upgradability. That is what i bought my used premodded Xbox for with a chip.
