i have a normal ps2 my swap magic cd works on my ps2. but when i put my dvd disk in the ps2 says disk read error. Can anyone help.

Is your swap magic dvd version scratched, if not check to see if you PS2 reads normal ps2 dvd games(DVD normally have a silver surface, CD games have a blue surface). If it doesnt work with originals either then it could be your laser, just get back to me with, and what version is your ps2?

i dont have any original games but its version is 35003. and i have swap magic 3.6

You have a v4 ps2. Is your dvd version of swap magic scratched?

I think that you should try an original dvd game, otherwise its difficult to draw to a straight conclusion.

you could try adjusting or cleaning your laser as that may help.

I agree with steimy, clean your laser, if it doesnt make a difference then you can go onto adjusting the laser, but before you adjust the laser, you need to make sure that it isnt only doing this with your swap magic dvd, because if other dvd disks work fine, and you just go ahead and adjust the laser, you can destroy it.

it doesnt work at all i opend up the ps2 andit doesnt readthe disk it doesnt spin at all.

Does it completely not spin, not even when you restart the system, or is it with just the swap magic, after the DRE comes up, then the disk does normally stop spinning.
