I had my Ps2 modded like 2 months ago but then, now the first slots for the controler isnt working i have a ps2 controlled and a DDR dance pad i've tried it with both, but it didnt work.

1. had it modded how?
2. any mod i know would have nothing to do with the controller ports.
Unless when they were inside doing a mod chip they screwed something up or loosened a wire that could effect them.

I doubt this is the answer but look inside the plug in controller part and make sure those four or so little metal things are all pulled forward (not on the PS2 but at the end of the controller cord).
I used to have some soft dance mats and those metal things would get pushed back all the time.
