I recently burned a couple movies on dual layered discs. The movies will play fine on one of our dvd players but on the other one it just skips the whole time. I was reading up on the forums and discovered that memorex (the dual layered disc brand that i'm using) sucks ass and that the write speed can also be a factor. My first question is whats a good burn speed and how do you change it in shrink? My other question is about the media? Is it most likely memorex or the speed? I switched back to regular dynex dvds and they work fine in both players, but I would really like to take advantage of my dual burner. Taaaaanks.

Most likely it is the disks, memorex is known around here as Memosux,

a good burn speed is half of what the highest speed says on the disk.

also the best DL media is Verbatim
